Abortion has been legal, in certain circumstances, in Great Britain for over 50 years.

A group of healthcare bodies have published a letter to BBC Action Line asking Action Line to reverse its current stance on providing links to information about abortion following a recent episode of Call the Midwife in which one of the characters died as a result of complications from an illegal “backstreet” abortion.
