Disappointing lack of progress on EU and UK legislation fighting violence against women. 

On 13 June 2018, the first anniversary of the signature of the Istanbul Convention by the European Union (EU), the European Coalition to End Violence against Women and Girlsreported its regrets that strong progress towards the ratification was hindered by retrograde forces, and has called for the concluding of the process without further delay.
