A paper published recently by Sheffield University’s Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI) has presented findings from a study into the rise of charitable emergency food provision in the UK and its implications for food rights.

Since the mid-2000s there has been a proliferation of charitable projects providing help to people in need who would otherwise not be able to access food and the research sought to examine what this meant for the progressive realisation of the right to food for all in the UK.
