Legislation to repeal Delaware's death penalty will return to Dover next week, and opponents and police groups already have vowed to oppose the measure.

Sen. Karen Peterson, a Stanton Democrat, said she would circulate the legislation for co-sponsors this week and planned to reintroduce the measure when lawmakers return to Legislative Hall next week.
