The benefits of ending violence against women and girls ‘far outweigh the resources required to prevent future violence’.

The UN Secretary-General’s UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign, launched in 2008 and managed by UN Women, proclaimed every 25th of the month as “Orange Day” – a day to take action to raise awareness and prevent violence against women and girls.
